Haights Creek Irrigation has received the following letter from Weber Basin Water. 8/23/2018
Subject: Recommendation to Shut off irrigation October 1st.
Due to the below normal snowpack this past winter, the unusually warm and dry summer, as well as the record high deliveries made for irrigation this season, the storage reservoirs are dropping below the targeted end-of-season volumes. The Weber Basin Water Conservancy District staff is planning on recommending to the District’s Board of Trustees that the irrigation deliveries end on October 1st of this year. The Board will act on this recommendation on August 30th, but wanted to send you this advance notice so that you may all bring this proposal to your governing bodies as well.
Please let us know of any concerns or comments you may have regarding this proposal.
