Assessments and Collection Processes
Haights Creek has mailed the assessments for the 2018 water season. You should be receiving these in the mail the second week of November. All payments should be received no later than January 15th, 2018. We have several payment options available, pay online at Haightscreek.org, mail a payment in the return envelope provided, stop by our office, or set up payment to be sent from your financial institution. A letter from the Board was included to review the operating budget. The Water Share Assessment fee, as well as, the Annual Water Service fee, and the Infrastructure replacement per connection fee were increased slightly. We have several projects which will occur during the coming year. HCIC submitted three grant applications totaling approximately $1,300,000. All three applications were accepted by the funding agencies. This is a “matching money” grant mechanism, the first of this “matching money” was put into place last fiscal year with the addition of the infrastructure fee, a small increase has been added this year. Please see the Shareholder letter for exact details. Payments received after January 15, 2018 are subject to a $25.00 late fee. If a shareholder is delinquent for 2 consecutive years the water shares will be submitted for repossession by HCIC.
